McCoy to start again Sunday in New Orleans for Cleveland

As if there was any doubt, Colt McCoy will be back under center for the Browns in New Orleans, as a source at ESPN confirms that the former Texas QB will get his second pro start Sunday.

Coach Eric Mangini said earlier this week that McCoy will play if there’s not enough progress with quarterbacks Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace, and neither has been even close to getting back on the field. Both missed practice Wednesday and Thursday with high-ankle sprains, while McCoy again took the first-team reps.

McCoy showed some toughness and skills in Pittsburgh last week, going for 281 yards and his first pro TD to Ben Watson in the fourth quarter in the teams 28-10 loss to the Steelers.

Another decent outing in New Orleans, and you have to start asking why not give McCoy more chances to be the teams starter as the season gets more and more out of hand.
