Will the “real” Rams please stand up?

Was Danario Alexander’s performance against San Diego a fluke?

Over the past six games, the Rams have played about four different types of games:

  • Play hard, but team makes enough mistakes to lose the game.
  • Solid domination from start to finish
  • Blown out of the water by the opposition.
  • Solid, but not mistake free close game in where the Rams find a way to win.

Which of the teams above is the true Rams?  They have shown us a lot of different looks including the 3rd bucket, which we saw way too often in 2009, but only once so far in 2010.

Who are the real Rams?

The Rams offense has had its moments where it looks unstoppable and the Rams defense has its moments as well.  The coaching staff has looked both dominant and overwhelmed.  However, the Rams sit at 3-3 after 6 games.  Even after looking at the Rams easy schedule to start the season, believing the Rams would actually win 3 of their first 6 games was another step entirely.

After 6 games, we have no idea which Rams team we will see week to week.  The Rams pride themselves on effort and fighting for every yard and 5 games out of 6 we have seen the Rams competing the whole game.  Only the Lions letdown was the outlier in that case.  But with a stinker like that on their ledger, there is always the fear that a performance like that could return any week.

We have 10 games left to see who the real Rams are in 2010.
