Eagles WR Jackson not likely to play Sunday vs Titans

It doesn’t sound good for wide out DeSean Jackson to be on the field Sunday for the Eagles to take on the Tennessee Titans. Head coach Andy Reid said that Jackson playing Sunday would be a “real stretch.”

Jackson suffered a concussion after a nasty head-on collision with Falcons cornerback Dunta Robinson. Jackson had soreness in his neck and shoulders on Monday. Typical for concussions, Reid said Jackson did not remember the hit that knocked him out.

“It’s not like amnesia set in,” Reid said. “He remembered his touchdowns and all the things that happened.” Both players stayed on the turf for several minutes before being helped from the field. Jackson dropped a pass when hit by Robinson.

“He got a pretty good jolt, now,” Reid said. “That was a big hit. I’m not sure I’ve seen one here quite like that one in our stadium. That was a big hit for both guys.”
