Seattle’s leading rusher for the past two seasons won’t be packing his bags for the airport afterall.
After ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Sunday that Julius Jones was going to be cut by the Seahawks, the network’s National Football League insider is now reporting via his Twitter account that Jones will remain in the Emerald City. Jones restructured his contract in order to hold onto his roster spot.
The terms of the deal are unknown at this time, but it seems like it might be a one-year or short-term deal like the one linebacker Leroy Hill agreed to Tuesday.
