ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Ravens have reached agreement on a one-year contract with free agent wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh. The wide out was released by the Seahawks on Saturday, one season into a five-year, $40 million contract that included $15 million in guarantees.
Houshmandzadeh was set to make $7 million in guaranteed base salary this season. According to Schefter, his deal is for the veteran minimum, or $855,000, therefore the Seahawks’ obligation to the receiver will be $6.145 million for the 2010 season. With the Ravens, Houshmandzadeh will be the third receiver, with Derrick Mason and Anquan Boldin starting on the outside.
