It’s going to be somewhat of an emotional night for Falcons TE Tony Gonzalez, as he will take on his old team for the first time since being traded before last season.
“It’s just going to fun, going out there and competing,” Gonzalez said. “Seeing those jerseys and looking down at my own jersey and realizing that, it’s going to be special actually.”
The Falcons and Chiefs will do battle tonight at 8pm at the Georgia Dome, and despite the Chiefs being young and having a to of new players, Gonzo is looking forward to seeing them.
“There are some people that worked in the organization, even though [they] cleaned house there as well, it’s going to be good to see them,” Gonzalez said.
The future Hall of Fame TE played 12 seasons with the Chiefs, and was moved to the Falcons before last season, giving him a chance to do something the Chiefs are a long way away from – making the playoffs.
