A day after they brought in a new person for its front office, the Seattle Seahawks have made another addition to the team, claiming second-year safety Kevin Ellison off waivers from the San Diego Chargers.
The news, from the San Diego Union Tribune‘s Kevin Acee, comes a day after the Chargers rid themselves of their former starter.
In May, Ellison was caught with 100 pills of vicodin, but Seattle brings him despite unfinished legal ramifications of the incident.
In Seattle, Ellison rejoins Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll. Carroll was Ellison’s college coach at University of Southern California.
To make room for him on its roster, Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times reportedthat Seattle released defensive lineman Will Tukuafu.
