According to Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times, starting linebacker Leroy Hill has returned to the Seattle Seahawks.
Hill is scheduled in court July 14 and July 23 for preliminary-motion and readiness hearings for a domestic-violence charge. The charge stems from an alleged attack by Hill on his girlfriend in Issaquah, Wash. in April.
Currently Hill is serving a one-year probation after pleading guilty in Georgia for a misdemeanor drug possession charge.
No league discipline has thus far been given to Hill for either run-ins with the law. According to O’Neil’s report for the Times, Hill won’t see any discipline from Commissioner Roger Goodell concerning the April incident until after the legal process has taken its course.
Whether Seattle keeps Hill if the league hands out a suspension or suspensions (one for the misdemeanor in Georgia and another for the alleged domestic-violence incident), is unclear at the moment.
