Measure J Passing a Win for the Raiders

The 49ers celebrated as Measure J passed in Santa Clara County.  Measure J means that the county has green lighted $115 million towards a new stadium, which leaves $900 million for the team to still collect towards their goal.  Of this $900 million, they are expected to ask the NFL for nearly $500 million.

Why is this important for the Raiders?  There is no way that they won’t have their hand out asking for money from the NFL also if the 49ers get the money.  The NFL knows this, so they will push that the 49ers and Raiders share a stadium.  This would be great for the Raiders.

They are not going to get any money from Alameda County.  They are not going to be able to re-configure McAfee Stadium any more, while a great atmosphere, leaves a lot to be desired compared to brand new stadiums.  That means no new revenue, and with the continued whispers of possible financial struggles, would be a big shot in the arm for the organization.

As bad as their offense was last year, I have no problem with this pass!!!

Hate to point this out to you but your facts are a little off, the dollar amount is closer to $1B and Santa Clara County did not approve this. It was the city.
