A Vote for Leonard Marshall for the Hall of Fame

Yesterday, I made my weekly appearance on Talking Football LIVE (listen here: I come in around the 90 minute mark). We talked a bit about Leonard Marshall not being in the Hall of Fame. And, we concluded, that he is deserving.

Leonard Marshall, in addition to 2 Super Bowl rings, had 83.5 sacks in 12 seasons. Howie Long, by comparison, had 84 sacks. Lee Roy Selmon, by comparison, had 78.5 sacks. Leonard Marhsall has HOF numbers.

So, what say you, Giants nation? Do you agree with me and the guys from TFL and think that Leonard Marhsall is a Hall of Famer? Let us know!

I know Leonard Marshall well, as a friend, business partner, and mentor. It’s clear that you DON’T know him, or anything about him. Next time, before you pop off about someone you know nothing about, think for a minute. I can’t understand why anyone would take the time to post falsehoods or make up rumors about another person online, regardless of public stature, wealth, or fame. By the way, Len did see this and was a big enough man to turn the other cheek.

Nobody who watched football in the 80’s would put Leonard Marshall in the same league as Howie Long and Lee Roy Selmon, period. That’s ridiculous.

How could there be any doubt that Leonard Marshall deserves to be in the HOF. He not only had great stats, but was a totally dominant defensive force for more than 10 yrs on a team that won 2 superbowls. He was a big game player with a lot of heart and it would be a sin if he’s not enshrined really soon
