Report says Colts All-Pro WR Wayne Won’t be at Teams OTA

According to a report by NFL.com’s Jason La Canfora, Indy All-Pro wide out Reggie Wayne will not be at the team’s minicamp this weekend. The team has not commented publicly about the situation, but Wayne has reportedly told the team about his intentions. He also skipped Indy’s OTAs throughout the offseason, but that has been standard practice for Wayne, who’s renowned for keeping himself in terrific shape year after year despite working out primarily on hiw own.

Rumors initially spread that Wayne was staying away from minicamp to focus on a $95,000 court case he’s been dealing with of late, but he claims that’s not the case at all. Earlier this week, a former female companion of Wayne’s was accused of piling up $95,000 worth of charges on Wayne’s credit cards. She contends she had Wayne’s permission to do so, while he strongly denies it.

Wayne is expected to fully compete in training camp before the season.
