According to Indianapolis Star’s Mike Chappell, the Indianapolis Colts will move offensive lineman Tony Ugoh to left guard.
Ugoh was originally playing left tackle, protecting Peyton Manning’s blind side. Ugoh has fulfilled the position really and will be moved.
“I told ‘em wherever they needed me,” Ugoh said. “My big thing this year is I want to play. I don’t care where it’s at.”
The Colts already released guard Ryan Lilja, and Ugoh will replace him there. Mike Pollack may win the right guard position like he did last season. If he does, Ugoh and Pollack will compete.
“This is my first go at guard,” he said. “But it’s just one step over. I’ll be all right.”
