Broncos new QB Quinn wants a shot to start in 2010

Denver has quite the quandry at the QB spot this year, as with Tim Tebow coming in as the first round pick, all eyes will be on him. But there’s also Kyle Orton, and the forgotten man – former Browns QB Brady Quinn, in the mix. Quinn says that he wants a spot to start in 2010, and CBS Sports reports as much today after the teams OTA:

The Broncos had a voluntary passing camp Monday, and the order of the quarterbacks on the depth chart was Kyle Orton, Brady Quinn, Tom Brandstater and Tim Tebow. That was fine with Quinn, who’s aware he’s got a long road ahead to unseat Orton as the starter. “Obviously he knows the offense pretty well,” Quinn said. “But this is an offense that I’m familiar with, so I felt pretty comfortable being in there as well.” Quinn said he definitely wants the chance to start for the Broncos after coming to Denver in a trade from Cleveland this offseason. “That’s how it is, it’s no different at any other position on the team,” Quinn said. “The quarterback gets a lot of focus for that reason, but that’s just the nature of this business. Everyone wants to play. Everyone wants the guy in front of them’s job, that’s just the NFL. If you don’t have that attitude, you shouldn’t be playing.”
