Breaston, Four Other Cardinals Back in the Fold

Steelers Cardinals Football

The Cardinals officially announced on Monday that four players signed their tenders.  They are wide receiver Steve Breaston, center Lyle Sendelein, defensive tackle Gabe Watson, and cornerback Michael Adams.  The only remaining un-signed restricted free agent is guard Deuce Lutui.

In addition, the Cardinals re-signed middle linebacker Monty Beisel to a one-year contract.

Other Notes:

  • The Cardinals off-season voluntary workout program started today.  Darren Urban of the Cardinals’ official website reports that “a good chunk of the roster show[ed] up on day one, including quarterbacks Matt Leinart and Derek Anderson, all the running backs, almost all of the offensive line, and the entire defensive back group.  Linebacker Joey Porter was here, and there were restricted free agents who signed their tender offer, including Steve Breaston.”
  • Sean Morey officially signed a multi-year deal with the Seahawks today.  Morey, 34, played his last three season with the Cardinals, where he excelled at special teams play.  Morey was selected to the 2008 Pro Bowl for special teams and was an alternate for the 2009 squad.
