Chargers RB Tomlinson Already Talking His Way Out of San Diego

Sounds like Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson is already planning on his future in another city. The running back likely won’t be with the Chargers much longer, as last season he put up just 730 yards and only had 3.3 yards per carry. He is taking the offensive again with the club, talking on radio in San Diego about the team and his future.

Tomlinson had this to say about the Chargers chemistry – “Things were always there that happened over time,” Tomlinson said. “I didn’t feel the unity and togetherness in the locker room at times this season …We’re at a point where guys come into the league and it’s not about the same values anymore. I just can’t deal with that kind of stuff.”

And likely, he won’t have to. The club would owe Tomlinson $5 million in 2010, meaning that for a player that has lost a step and didn’t have a 100-yard game in 2009.

Tomlinson will be somewhere in 2010, it just won’t be with the Chargers, as there’s no way this offseason he and the club will be able to find common ground to keep him around another season.
