Eagles to Look to Trade Vick Before the 2010 Season?

The Philadelphia Daily News reports that it looks as if Mike Vick won’t be back in 2010, as he’s due to make $5 mil next season, and if he’s not going have a much bigger role on the team, there’s no reason to have him sitting the bench making more than a number of bigger players on the team.

Eagles quarterback Michael Vick, who wants another starting opportunity in the NFL and is scheduled to make $5 million next season, almost certainly won’t be back. A league source confirmed to the Daily News that head coach Andy Reid already assured Vick he will trade him before the April draft. Its unlikely the Eagles will pick up Vick’s $5 Million option in 2010.

There’s quite a few teams that will take a look at Vick if he hits the open market, like the Rams, Raiders and possibly even the Cardinals now that Kurt Warner has retired. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Vick, and if he will be able to be a starter elsewhere.

Good luck Vick. I wish those PETA nuts had half the courage he has shown this year. Congrats o the Ed Block award, and PLEASE- come to Oakland…we need you!

People who think Michael Vick is a criminal and has no business having a career after the crimes he committed are NOT PETA nuts. We are however people who know that if we were convicted and spent time in jail for the same offenses we would have NO CAREER. So who thinks it is okay to get a pass because you are a celebrity, a football player or talented? Not me. While you are entitled to your opinion, don’t group those of us who defile Michael Vick as PETA nuts. You are making very incorrect assumptions.I love football, I am a fan, come from a long line of players, coaches, athletic directors and the like. So don’t try to diminish my point of view and label me as a PETA lover, or a girl, or the like.

michael vick went to jail and did his time just like everyone else so he has everyright to a second chance just like everyone else and hes talented cause he worked hard at something so hes not getting a second chance cause hes a celebrity hes getting one cause he is good at football and since he went to jailt he hasnt fucked up so everyone stop hating on vick.

I wish PETA and all the haters would leave Vick alone. There were more fans who were glad to see Vick play than there were protesters. He is simply a very entertaining and exciting football player to watch. Mr. Vick I pray you much success in your professional and private life.

i think vick deserves a second chance but not until he is put in same situation as the dogs he tortured. and that is not a cushy spot in a jail cell with favoritism cause he is famouse. he should be put in a cage with a human pit bull and forced to fight to a bloody finish. i am no peta nut but whether man or beast i believe in an eye for an eye. but since this will obviosly never happen maybe just a good old fashiond ass kickin would do

Michael Vick has served his time. The court system took his dignity, the media showed the worst side of him to the world. And it appears that many humans have condemed him. But GOD has forgivin him. Every person under Gods authority will go through a storm. He went through his and we need to let Gods light shine on him now. If we took half of the energy we used on passing judgement on man, and used it for showing love. This would be a much better world. When was the last time any of you broke the law? Everday so many people speed up and down the highways and roads(law broken) or have a small drink and then drive (law broken) stop trying to judge man. This is GOD’S AUTHORITY!! I Love you all!!

To N.Newbury, so how did you feel about Martha Stewart,Robert Downey Jr. or any other celeb.,athelete etc. Do you still watch their movies or shows. Have you givin your public opinion towards them. Everyone deserves a second chance. But only if GOD allows. It is not for us to decide. That is why God allowed a judicial system to be established to take the burden off of every man. Yes, their are flaws in this system. But it is what helps to maintain order in our society.
