I suppose it depends on who you believe, but this is a case of “he said, he said.” Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan is of the belief that despite his limited participation in practice this week, it shouldn’t affect whether he starts this Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.
Coach Mike Smith isn’t saying much, except to have listed Ryan as “limited” after a two-hour session on Thursday.
According to Ryan:
“I’m feeling pretty good. I’m getting a little better every day, which is a good thing. I’m just doing everything that I can at this point to get it back to where I can go back out there and play well.”
A turf toe injury had limited Ryan in practice since the week of their 20-17 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers; he had missed a pair of games – both home losses to Philadelphia and New Orleans – before returning to lead the Falcons to a road victory over the New York Jets last Sunday.
