Record Setting Day for Harrison and Cribbs Leads Browns to 41-34 Win in K.C.

The Cleveland Browns got there third win of the year today by defeating the Kansas City Chiefs in Kansas City 41-34 for the first time since 1988. The Browns were lead by Josh Cribbs and Jerome Harrison who both set records today. Cribbs led the way for the Browns with two Kickoff returns one for 100 yards and his second was for 103 yards.

With Cribbs returning the two kickoffs today he has set the all-time record for kickoff returns for touchdowns in the NFL. The Browns today started the game off with a Phil Dawson 47 yard field goal. After the Chiefs answered back with a field goal of there own, the Josh Cribbs show began as he had an electrifying return. In the second quarter the Browns had some adversity to overcome with a botched snap on a punt recovered for a touchdown, Jamal Charles 47-yard run for a touchdown, and a Chris Chamber touchdown reception that gave the Chiefs a 24-13 lead.

Cribbs helped the comeback with an 103 yard kickoff return his second of the day. That was huge for the Browns after falling behind Cribbs put them right back in the game. Brady Quinn only threw for 66 yards and had 2 int but has some big runs that helped the Browns to victory today.

Jerome Harrison broke the Browns rushing record with 286 yards and three touchdowns. His final TD of the day was the biggest with the game being tied at 34 Harrison broke free to give the Browns the final score of the day. The Browns were able to get out of K.C with a win and once again have shown improvement with the overall picture of the game. We got a win on the road the D didn’t play that well but were able to make a play unlike in Detroit to get the win. Brian Daboll needs to be praised about some of his play calling today because the Browns were able to trick the Chiefs on some critical third down plays today.

Just in case any Browns fans forgot when you win two games in a row that is called a winning streak, yes you read correctly the Browns are on a winning streak and have a very winnable game against the Raiders. I hope the media lays off Mangini a little bit now because no matter what anyone complaint is against Mangini, the Browns have shown improvement and are starting to win football games.

In years past Cleveland teams that haven’t had the best of records have quit by now and you don’t see that with this years team, they are playing for Mangini and that is refreshing to see as a Browns fan…
