ESPN’s Schefter: Eagles RB Westbrook Out for Giants Game

It appears that RB Brian Westbrook is going to be out for the game vs the Giants today in Philly:

Eagles running back Brian Westbrook was not expected to play Sunday because of a concussion he suffered last week, a team source told ESPN Insider Adam Schefter.

The Eagles (4-2) host the New York Giants (5-2) with first place in the NFC East at stake.

Westbrook suffered the head injury in last Monday’s 27-17 victory over the Redskins.

Westbrook has not practiced all week, but he was on the field Friday with his teammates and seemed in good spirits.

Eagles rookie running back LeSean McCoy was expected to make his second start in Westbrook’s place.
