Let the games begin on who is going to start at QB for the Browns this Sunday when they take on the Bengals at Browns Stadium. After each Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson played a half in the teams 34-3 thrashing by the Ravens Sunday in Baltimore, coach Eric Mangini said Monday that he has not made that decision yet on who will get the start Sunday at home.
“I’ll make that decision and let you guys know on Wednesday,” Mangini said.
Quinn was upset at the decision by Mangini to pull him after one half, and Anderson said he didn’t know he was going to start the second half until the teams was on the field warming up for the third quarter. With the offense totally stale, it’s going to be interesting to see what decision Mangini makes.
What I’m going to look at is who I think gives us the best chance to win the next game. That’s the most important thing. I think both guys did some things on Sunday that were positive,” Mangini said. “When you have turnovers, it’s hard. We have to be able to move the ball consistently. We have to be able to take advantage of opportunities that are there. That’s something we have to improve on offensively.”
