McNabb Out Week 2 Vs. Saints, Starter Uncertain

Donovan McNabb

As those of you who happen to have DIRECTV Sunday Ticket and caught the Philadelphia Eagles-Carolina Panthers game on Sunday, then it’s likely you saw the pancake that Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb took when he scored in the end zone in the third quarter.

The end result of the collision was a cracked rib for McNabb, and as a result, he will sit out next Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints. Now anytime past Week 2 is uncertain as the quarterbacking situation in Philly is rather muddled.

My best guess is that the team will look for a free agent QB – A.J. Feeeley and Jeff Garcia automatically come to mind – assuming that McNabb is out for longer than next week. Then there’s the Michael Vick factor, which doesn’t help things in this regard, either. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear an announcement from the Esgles’ brass as soon as this Thursday.
