Commandments of Gambling: An Eary Season Primer

From week to week, I’m going to occasionally give tips…But, I will only give you my actual bets. I don’t need to prove anything to anyone. But, I also have no interest in getting sued for recommendations. I start each year with $10k for the Pro Football season. You’ll see I bet very sparingly during the first ten games of the season.

This week my only bet is a “dime” on Minnesota (-3.5) at Cleveland.

Commandments of Gambling-Part 2
Never, I repeat, Never bet on losers. Ever.

Example. The worst teams for the past ten years have certainly included Oakland, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Detroit. Do they beat the spread occasionally. Of course they do. I don’t bet on losers. I don’t bet on hype. I like teams that have it all:Defense, Offense, Special Teams and the Intangibles. My number one choice this week is Minnesota (-3.5). I’m not recommending it.

But, this week, it’s my number one choice versus the spread. Remember, the lines quite often will change. At the time of this writing, the line on Minnesota was between -3.5 and -4. All things (what’s the juice you’d have to pay if you lose?) being equal, try to find a sports book with Minnesota -3.5 (or better). I like the Vikings to win by four points or better versus a novice starting quarterback with a very pedestrian offense.
