Jets Waive 19, Keep Woodhead

The New York Jets released the following players: Fullback Jehuu Caulcrick, linebacker Kenwin Cummings, tight ends Kevin Brock, Kareem Brown and Jack Simmons, wide receivers Marcus Henry and Britt Davis, offensive lineman Stanley Daniels, cornerback Rashad Barksdale, fullback Brock Christopher, safety Emanuel Cook, kicker Parker Douglass, running back Anthony Kimble, defensive linemen Matt Kroul and Ty Steinkuhler, offensive tackles Nevi McCaskill and Ryan McKee, center Michael Parenton and defensive end Zach Potter.

Perhaps the surprise of all of this was the retention of running back Danny Woodhead of Chadron State. But then again, when you go out there and run for 158 yards and a pair of touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles in the preseason finale, maybe it’s not much of a surprise. Definitely a feel-good story in the making here as he wasn’t expected to make much of an impact in training camp.

Further proof that the Jets’ Asst Head Coach/OL Coach is a turd with no ability to judge talent.
