Many have wondered what it would be like the first time Pats QB Tom Brady really took a good shot in a game after missing basically the whole 2008 season. Some of those questions have now been answered, as Saturday Brady woke up with a sore right shoulder after a hit from Albert Haynesworth in the teams 27-24 win over the Redskins Friday night.
Brady’s injury took place late in the first half when he was pushed to the ground by the All-Pro defensive tackle Haynesworth after a third down incomplete pass. Brady went to the bench, where he flexed and rotated his throwing arm, trying to work out the kinks.
He did not play in the second half, even though most of the first-team offense returned for the first drive of the third quarter. He then left the sideline and returned to the locker room.
While a sore shoulder is what it is, this has got to have plenty of Pats fans holding their breath as the season closes in just two weeks away.
