Well to all my loyal fans. I have completed my first draft of the year. It was a TD only league and I went heavy on RBs and WR sleepers. I also did not draft a K and DEF. The main reason for that was because this draft was so early.
I still can tell if some of my sleepers will pan out or get injured. There is still a bit of preseason left and certain players have not solidified their position. Plus there is still a chance of injury. I recommend taking this approach if the league you are in does not require you to draft a legal lineup during the draft. Figure by week one I will know more as to which players are for real. So at that time I drop the two worst fliers I have and grab the best defense and kicker still on the board.
This is obvious but the difference between the #1 kicker and the #32 kicker is minimal. In fact when I do draft kickers I rarely still have them on my roster by week 5. I always grab the hot kicker off the waiver wire (aka Matt Pratter 2008).
