Bears QB Cutler Tries to Play Nice w/ Denver Fans

Ah yes, Jay Cutler’s mouth has been running at full speed, and now he’s trying to do a quick back track after basically saying the other day that Bears fans were better than Broncos fans.

Cutler said to an ESPN radio station in Chicago the other day that on a scale of 1 to 10, Bears fans are a 9, while Bronco fans are like a 6. Nice way to try and make the city you cried and whined about to get out of even more peeved at you Jay.

“Denver’s got great fans,” Cutler said following the Bears’ workout at Soldier Field before a crowd of 27,793 fans. “I wasn’t saying anything about their fans.”

Really, sounds like you were. Sounds like the call was the Bears fans were WAY more passionate about their football team than Bronco fans. Right? Cutler claimed that he was simply comparing the two team’s training camps.

“I was saying stuff about our camp at Bourbonnais (Il.) and just how expansive it is and how much money and effort and energy they put into it down there,” Cutler said. “We get 11,000 fans on a Saturday. If it wasn’t for the fans coming out like that, we wouldn’t have to have such a big camp.

“Every NFL team has great fans. That’s why the NFL and football is the No. 1 sport in this country, because the fans are great everywhere we go.”

Yeah, try telling that to all those people that have already thrown out their Cutler Denver jerseys.

What happened to the First Amendment? This isn’t Iran.
I know Cutler may have damaged his financial position within the Denver Community and banking system, but irate athletes are allowed to mess up their financial affairs. After all many of them invest in pretty young women in Denver and other cities, and what do they get in return but law suits, and attorney fees.

Who would want to play for McDaniels anyway. He looks like he’s young enough to be Cutler’s son…
