McNair was Drunk, Kazemi Had Marijuana in Her System at Time of Killings

The painful details of the death of former Ravens and Titans QB Steve McNair continue to come out, as well as details about the 20-year-old that committed the murder-suicide, Sahel Kazemi. McNair was shot to death in the early morning hours of July 4th. Kazemi killed herself with a single gunshot to the head shortly thereafter.

New details are out today about the case, as the Tennessee’s state assistant medical examiner released info today that showed McNair had roughly twice the legal amount of alcohol in his system when he was shot and killed. McNair’s blood alcohol level was about .16 when he was shot.

As far as Kazemi went, the examiner revealed that she had a small amount of marijuana in her system at the time of the shooting. Kazemi had admitted to the police that she was high when she was stopped for DUI on July 2nd, which was a sad precursor of things to come.

McNair was killed in the condo that he frequently stayed at that belonged to Kazemi.

The condo did not belong to Kazemi. It was Steve’s.

how can you be legally drunk in your home? and how can you be shot to death four times?

I agree with autumn. There honestly isn’t a “legal” limit to being drunk out of a car. What a stupidly written article.

Oh, and marijuana can stay in one’s system for longer than 2 days. The “small amount” of THC would probably be from using cannabis while she was driving the 2nd of July.

This is an all around sad situation. All I have to say is be prepared to deal with insecurities if you date younger women in the teens and early twenties; especially if your a famous older man.

Can we please put this story to rest?! This man was in HIS condo asleep on the couch…minding his own damn business. Last time I checked there was no law reagrding that. His alcohol level is irrelevant. This young lady was CRAZY…end of story. Marijauna or not…she was a nut case.

What is the relevance of reporting that there was marijuana in her system, or that Steve was drunk? I’m sure that you could find remnants of french fries in their digestive tract if you checked, but who gives a F. Great journalism knows no bounds.
