One of, if not the greatest WR of all-time Jerry Rice is the latest to share his feelings on the situation unfolding in Minnesota with the Vikings regarding “retired” QB Brett Favre. Rice spoke to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, and said that the Vikings should simply stay with what they have in Tarvaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels.
“You have two quarterbacks, Tarvaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels] who don’t know exactly what is going to happen,” Rice said. “All of a sudden these two guys thought they were going to be competing. To be honest with you, I thought Tarvaris would be the starting guy this year… Now you have this saga, and everybody is sitting back wondering what is going to happen.
“To be honest with you, I think the two guys with the team right now should be the two guys that they should be focusing on.”
Of course the drama should unfold soon, as Favre says that he’ll give the Vikings his answer by July 30th. Till then, it’s open season on what the Vikings should do about Favre as well as the QB’s they have.
