With Donte’ Stallworth’s future with the Browns in doubt, the team is going to need to have some of their young WR’s step up and make an impact in the 2009 season. Two of them – Brian Robiskie and Mohamed Massaquoi are in Florida this week at the NFL rookie symposium, and Robiskie knows the chance that awaits.
“We’re all aware of it but they don’t bring it up and say this might be or not be or what could happen,” said Robiskie. “They just let us go play. They know that with all the receivers we have, there are going to be opportunities for a lot of guys. They just stress for us to go out there and compete.”
It sure would be nice for both of the rookie WR’s to step up and have solid seasons, but even if one could come in and have a good season opposite Braylon Edwards, that would be a great help. From early reports, Robiskie is going to have every chance to be on the field opening day vs Minnesota as a starter or at worst third WR.
