Vikings Berrian Thinks Favre Could be that Final Piece

NFL/
Could Brett Favre be that final piece the Vikings need? That’s what a lot of people thought last year for the Jets when he went to New York, but that was not the case.

Now the Vikings look like they will get their shot. One player that seems to think that he will be that guy is wide out Bernard Berrian. He told the Pioneer Press that Favre could be that final piece the team is looking for.

Bernard Berrian expresses confidence in the Minnesota Vikings’ offense, with or without Brett Favre. But the Vikings receiver knows this: Favre could teach himself and everyone on the offense plenty about the West Coast offense. “If he’s on the team, we could be a very explosive offense. He can probably teach the offense,” Berrian said. “We have the right elements and all the tools.

Asked if Favre could be that final piece, Berrian said, “He could be. “He definitely could be. You can’t argue that he wouldn’t. If he can throw the ball the way we know he can throw the ball, he definitely can be that final piece.”

The Vikes have a better chance of getting productivity out of Brett than the Jets did… He’s not learning a new system… and the Vikes are a better team… Gus was new to the system still made it work than TJ (which, I think, speaks to TJ’s potential)… Favre, in his old, ragged, about-to-ride-off-into-the-sunset days, is still the best QB on the team (if he actually joins the team). He’s better than the rest, combined… If the WR’s can learn to catch the ball, the Vikes have a chance to go far… I see chilly as the problem… If he can stow his ego, they got a chance… I foresee a battle between chilly and brett… Gus simply stated a simple truth last year and ended up on the bench for the rest of the year, including playoffs, in spite of the teams needs… If chilly is that Napoleanic, the Vikes won’t make the playoffs…

i like texviles responce, if childress can let go of some of the conservitive plays. the only thrill that childress had was two years ago when he suprised everyone with the on side kicks. last year when the vikes had the eagles heads hanging after adrian ran for the touchdown….He took adrian out because of the fumbles and gave the eagles new life. the vikings could of had a good shot at the play off game if they would of put gus in the game. the eagles coach knew that childress was going to run the ball with over a minute left and they called a time out…i do like childress but he needs to let go and let God..farve you know will call some of his own plays and like tarkenton he can run a two minute drill, maybe even tommy krammer can be revitalised in a two minute offense that has been dead since two minute tommy’s retirement….and good day!
