The talk about wide out Brandon Marshall wanting a trade from the Broncos continues to heat up, and today on personal blog, Marshall broke his silence on the issue with a post entitled “Clearing the Air.” Here is a portion of that post:
“To whom it may concern,” Marshall wrote. “Life is filled with change, and where I am in my life now change is probably best. It’s hard leaving an organization ran by one of the best owners in all of sports, and someone who’s been there for me through my ups and downs.
“The hardest thing was hearing Mr. B wish me luck in the future, but we both came to the conclusion that this is probably the best thing for me to grow on and off the field. I thank the Denver fans who embraced my emotion and play on the field and showing me love every time I step outside my door.”
The bottom line is that Marshall wants out, and the Broncos are more than likely not going to satisfy his wishes, unlike his good friend Jay Cutler, who was sent packing to the Bears awhile back for Kyle Orton and couple draft picks.
Marshall has already been linked to Chicago and Baltimore, two teams that could really use a top-notch wide out. Of course the fact that Marshall is coming off of hip surgery and also has legal issues pending is another issue all together.
