Cardinals wide out Anquan Boldin has a new agent, as reports state that he is or already has hired Tom Condon to take over his services. It was just a few weeks back that Boldin fired super agent Drew Rosenhaus from that same position.
Cardinals general manager Rod Graves says today that he is looking forward to working with Condon on trying to get a deal worked out to try and keep Boldin in Arizona. “I look forward to working with him on this deal whenever we can get the opportunity to concentrate on it,” Graves said.
Graves said he’s already had contact with Condon. “I anticipate a meeting with him sometime later this month,” Graves said. Condon is no stranger to some high profile NFL clients, as he currently represents the Manning brothers, Eli and Peyton, former Colts WR Marvin Harrison, and Cards backup QB Matt Leinart.
Boldin sat out minicamp last month, citing a sore hamstring, and has been a no-show in recent voluntary workouts. He has said he’s wanted out of Arizona for awhile, but after the team found no takers for his services when they put him on the trade block, it seems like the best move for both sides is to make a fair contract offer and for the receiver to sign it.
