Chiefs Sign TE Curtis


On the heels of their loss of tight end Tony Gonzalez, the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday – according to the Associated Press – signed free agent TE Tony Curtis to a contract; terms of the contract were not avaialble as of this posting. Curtis had spent the last three seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, as he played in 36 games, catching 11 passes for 80 yards and three touchdowns.

In addition, the team signed center Rudy Niswanger to a free agent tender contract; he started 15 games for the Chiefs in 2008 and entered the NFL as a rookie free agent out of LSU in 2006. Like Curtis, terms of Niswanger’s contract were not available as of this posting.
