There is no doubt that the Ravens are interested in pass catchers to help out Joe Flacco and the offense, and one name that has popped up on the radar that would be a huge boost to the team is Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin.
The Baltimore Sun reports that the Ravens are looking into the possibility of making a deal that would get Boldin away from the Cardinals, where he’s been unhappy for awhile, and over to the Ravens. The paper says it would take a first and third likely to get Boldin to Baltimore.
Last season Boldin had 89 catches for 1,038 yards and 11 touchdowns for the NFC Champs. This is not the first time that the Ravens have looked to grab a wide out – remember the deal to try to get Terrell Owens? How about Randy Moss?
Boldin has expressed his unhappiness with the Cardinals, and wants a new deal, much like fellow wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald got last season. The Cards have said that they would be open to trading Boldin, so the pieces may very well be set for Baltimore to get something done.
