Arizona Unhappy WR Boldin Says He’d Love to Play in Miami

The Dolphins could use another wide out, and one player that would look great in a Fins uniform is Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin. The wide out has had his share of issues with Arizona, and many think he still may be moved by opening day 2009.

Boldin threw out there that he would love to come to play for Miami, a team coming off an 11-5 record and an AFC East title. “I would love to,” Boldin said of playing for Miami on ESPN Radio 760 in Palm Beach. “You know, I’m a Florida guy, always will be a Florida guy at heart. If it happens, I’ll definitely be grateful.”

Arizona has said from day one that they would not be trading Boldin, and they would like to get something done where they can keep Boldin along with stud WR Larry Fitzgerald.

For now, Boldin doesn’t know where he’ll line up in 2009. “Honestly, I don’t know,” he told the radio station. “It’s at a point right now where there’s not any discussion between myself and the team. When something does happen, I’ll let my agent take care it. I guess he’ll converse with the GM or management … It’s a tough situation and you definitely don’t want this hanging over your head going into another season, especially it being a couple of years past due…”

It would be interesting to see if the Fins would be willing to make a strong move for Boldin, or instead if they simply look to the upcoming draft for a place to try make the WR core stronger.
