Could Cleveland Get in the Mix for Cutler?

It came out on Tuesday, that after ten days of trying to reach out to Jay Cutler the Denver Broncos are going to try and trade Cutler. That might just be what new Browns coach Eric Mangini and new GM George Kokinis have been waiting for. Cutler “is done in Denver” the Broncos owner Pat Bowlen said.

With that being said the Broncos are left with Chris Simms and Darrell Hackney as the other Quarterbacks on the roster. There are many teams that have to be interested in Cutler, the Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Bears, and the Detroit Lions are in need of a quarterback very badly.

That might help the Browns value of there quarterback situation by getting involved in a three way trade with the Broncos. Of the four teams that I named not one of them have a quarterback that the Broncos could feel confident in being a starter.

The Lions do have the number one pick and if wanted to give that up for Cutler, I am sure the Broncos would think long and hard about that. If the Browns wanted to get into the Cutler sweepstakes, I think the ball is in there court because they have something that the teams that would be interested in Cutler don’t have, two quarterbacks

One is a Pro Bowler and another is a 24-year-old quarterback, whose college coach used to coach with Josh McDaniels, who also is very high on Brady Quinn – unlike Eric Mangini.

If the Mankok regime really isn’t sold on either quarterback, we will find out real soon. The Browns at least should be able to get a first day draft pick now by trading Derek Anderson and or trade Quinn and get Cutler.

Cutler for the first time since the Browns have come back takes away the question mark at the QB position. If you think things have been interesting on Lou Groza Blvd. now, the next month could get very interesting.
