Browns Coach Mangini to Bring in Brett Favre as a Guest?

With Eric Mangini saying that the QB position is up for grabs between Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn, could Mangini want Brett Favre to come to the Browns?

Probably not.

But, that evidently won’t stop Mangini from making a circus atmosphere in Cleveland during camp, as Sporting News, per the NY Daily News, reports that Mangini will ask Favre to come and be a guest at Browns camp this summer.

Brett Favre just might make an appearance at an NFL training camp this summer — as a guest of new Cleveland Browns coach Eric Mangini. Mangini told the New York Daily News that he and Favre have been text messaging since they last saw each other December 29, the day the Jets fired Mangini and the day after Favre played his final NFL game. The two are discussing Favre joining Mangini at Browns camp this summer.

Just what a team that has already undergone a number of offseason issues needs – Brett Favre roaming the sidelines being asked by every reporter if he is going to comeback. Ugh.

  1. Im a Green Bay resident and fan, and a Brett Favre fan, its unbeliveable that Brett and Mangini have become that close in one year. Its sad that The Packers have lost the relationship with Brett. Im so angry with the coaching staff in Green Bay that Brett is now possibly in another facility besides Green Bay, I shouldnt be supprised with this day and age! I know he wont be playing for the Browns But he is not in Green Bay!

Thompson and McCarthy will be gone the end of this season.
