T.J. Houshmandzadeh has been all over the place already talking about free agency and moving on, and it looks like he’s as good as gone. Today’s Cincy Enquirer says that T.J. thinks the Bengals don’t want him back.
From T.J. Houshmandzadeh’s perspective, it sounds like his days in Cincinnati might be drawing near a close. “I really don’t know. I can’t speak for them but I haven’t heard from them which would lead me to assume that I’m out of there,” Houshmandzadeh said.
With free agency set to begin three weeks from Friday, Houshmandzadeh could be one of the top players on the market and is the most prized receiver available. Whether or not Houshmandzadeh is available won’t be known for another two weeks since the Bengals could still use the franchise tag on him.
Of course the fact that Houshmandzadeh has already talked about playing for a couple teams including the Bears and Eagles, it wouldn’t be a shock if he bails on the Bengals the first chance he gets.
