Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo reportedly collapsed after his team’s decimation at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday. ESPN cites team sources that say the signal-caller collapsed in the shower after the team’s 44-6 loss that cost the Cowboys a trip to the playoffs. The network says the team’s medical staff was summoned, but Romo refused to be carried out on a stretcher and made it out of the room on his own.
He then had to be helped to the podium, but wouldn’t answer questions about his health. Romo threw for 183 yards in the game, but was picked off once and coughed up a pair of fumbles. Overall, the Cowboys had five turnovers in the loss. Dallas had control of its destiny in the game and would have secured an NFC Wild Card spot had it won the game. Instead, the Eagles will face the Vikings during Wild Card Weekend.
