Week 16 Preview: Pittsburgh at Tennessee

Do the Titans have enough to hang on to the top spot in the AFC?  We’ll find out Sunday when the 11-3 red-hot Pittsburgh Steelers roll into LP Field with the top seed in the conference on the line.  Some say that the Titans have played their best football already this season.  You can make a case for that, as they looked bad in losing 13-12 last Sunday to the Texans on the road to fall to 12-2.

Sure they can run, but will they against the rough and tough Steelers #1 ranked D?  I don’t like their chances there.  As far as passing, putting the ball in the hands of Kerry Collins to win is not a good idea vs those Steelers LB’s and front three.  Collins had better be careful.  The Titans will need to wear down the Steelers and cross them up with LenDale White and Chris Johnson, which is by far their best shot for a win.

The Steelers have simply found a way week in and week out to get the job done.  Last week they went the distance in the win vs the Ravens, and are at worst the two-seed in the AFC.  Right now there’s no better big game QB than Ben Roethlisberger, though he still gets hit too much week in and week out.

This is likely to be another low scoring, tough defensive game.  The Steelers have the advantage on both sides of the ball, and they will pull out the win and take home the top seed in the AFC after another win next week.

Pittsburgh 17 Tennessee 7
