Early Early Head Coaching Candidates for the Rams

With yet another clunker, it becomes more obvious that the Rams will have an open search to fill their potentially open head coaching position. Banks also includes this nugget, “St. Louis is one team known to be in the market for a defensive-oriented head coach.” So, let’s head to the list.

Bill Cowher – In our dreams.

Steve Spagnuolo – New York Giants defensive coordinator – He was in high demand last year but did not get a job, probably because his team made it to the Super Bowl, which left little time for interviewing. He is a great candidate and a disciple of the Jim Johnson pressure defensive scheme. Should be near the top of the list for the Rams.
