The NFL has once again reared its ugly head when it comes to fines, as two of the games biggest defensive ends have gotten rather hefty fines. The Panthers Julius Peppers and the Vikings Jared Allen are both lighter in the pocket books thanks to the league. Both were fined $10,000 on Friday.
Peppers’ fine comes from a hit on Aaron Rogers, Packers QB, last Sunday at Lambeau. Rodgers was racing out of bounds when Peppers laid a rather huge hit on the QB during the Panthers 35-31 win. Allen’s fine comes from him using the football as a prop during Sunday’s romp over the Bears at home. Funny thing is it didn’t even come on a score for the Vikings.
Allen has been hit in the wallet a couple of times this season, as he’s been fined already $90,000 in 08. Peppers also has lost money elsewhere this year, as he was fined $10,000 for a hit on the Falcons Matt Ryan back in October.
