Why Go Back to McNabb?

Donavon McNabb was benched on Sunday in favor for Kevin Kolb. Fair enough. He played horribly. Kolb wasn’t much better. But now, word is that McNabb will start Thanksgiving eve against the high flying Cardinals? Here’s my question: why?

Was this benching supposed to send a ‘sign’ to McNabb? Was this to showcase Kevin Kolb? Obviously not, not for a half. What is the rationale, Andy Reid? Why bench your franchise player, only to put him back in there, before you even give the kid a chance? Don’t bench him
in the first place!

It doesn’t make sense. Kolb needs seasoning. I understand that you have to play your high draft picks. But Kolb isn’t the answer. You’re probably better with AJ Feeley. Hell, even Jay Fieldler!

The Eagles season is, most likely, over. No second half miracle this
year. Westbrook is hurt. LJ Smith is hurting. McNabb, obviously isn’t
himself. What’s next? Andy Reid, pack your bags. I hear that San
Francisco is nice this time of year. Donovan McNabb, pack your bags as
well. At least they play in a dome in Minnesota.

The Eagles run of dominance is done. Sorry, Philadelphia. At least you
got your World Series.
