The Pats may have suffered a major injury on defense Sunday as LB Adalius Thomas could be gone for the rest of the season with a broken arm. ESPN.com is reporting that he suffered the injuy, which is a broken left forearm, during Sunday’s 20-10 win over the Bills that has put the team into a tie with the Jets for first place in the AFC East.
Reports say that the injury was suffered in the first half of the win. “It’s not good,” a source told ESPN.com. “He’s probably done (for the season).” The 31-year-old Thomas has 34 tackles in 2008, and leads the team with five sacks. The team has been hit hard by injuries all season, with of course Tom Brady out, but also Rodney Harrison and Laurence Maroney on the shelf for the rest of the year.
The Pats have a short practice week, as they have just two days to get ready to host the other first place team in the division, the Jets, in a game that will take place on National TV on the NFL Network on Thursday night.
