Site Editor Matt Loede’s Thursday Night NFL Pick for Week 10

Steptoe looks to score

Last week with a 5-9 week against the spread now sits me at 61-66 on the season.  Time to get on track, and we’ll start with the Thursday night game this evening at Cleveland.

Denver at Cleveland (-3)

Both teams that need a win in the worst of ways will battle tonight in the Dawg Pound.  Cleveland is going to make the switch that many feel is the key to their future, as Brady Quinn gets the start over Derek Anderson.  We’ll see if against the 29th ranked defense it can have a big impact.  The Browns seemed to be well on their way to .500 a week ago when they led 27-13 in the third quarter vs the Ravens, then they fell apart before losing last 37-27.  The Broncos are in deep trouble, with injuries, poor play on defense, and now their offense has been struggling as of late.  A big home crowd on a warm November night in Cleveland w/ a new QB means a win for the Browns.  Cleveland 24 Denver 17
