Browns Make QB Switch From Anderson to Quinn

In the eyes of many Browns fans – it’s about time. Last years first round draft pick Brady Quinn will get his first start for Cleveland on Thursday night when the team takes on the Denver Broncos at Browns Stadium, as the team is benching Derek Anderson.

The move to Quinn was a hot bed subject all season, and finally on Monday after yet another loss for the Browns and another questionable game for Anderson, coach Romeo Crennel confirmed that Quinn would get the start.

Anderson threw two TD’s on Sunday vs the Ravens, but threw a bad pick on a screen pass with just over two minutes left that was returned by the Ravens Terrell Suggs for a score that clinched the 37-27 win for the Ravens. Fans at Browns Stadium could be heard chanting “Brady, Brady” after the costly pick.

Quinn has appeared in only one regular-season game for the Browns, last season’s Week 17 finale against San Francisco. He was 3-for-8 for 45 yards.
