I gave a report card for NFL’s weeks 1-5…this time I’ll be giving my top 5 of who’s hot and I’m not talking about just on the field! I know I know, everyone wants to hear the stats of their favorite players, well its my turn to talk about a different set of “stats” on my favorite players.
1. Reggie Bush – This Saints RB has a gorgeous smile, and an undeniable sense of swag and impeccable style…enough said.
New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush reportedly underwent arthroscopic knee surgery Monday and is expected to be sidelined for two-to-four weeks. Bush was hurt in the week 7 match up against Carolina and did not accompany the team to London for the upcoming game against San Diego. He instead flew to Birmingham, Alabama to have a procedure to have torn medial meniscus in his left knee repaired. Its been rumored that Mr. Bush and long-time girlfriend, Kim Kardashian had gotten engaged. Sources found out via Kim’s Facebook, but this sex-tape superstar’s status was fabricated.
2. Larry Johnson – I think I first saw him on an interview, then got the chance to see him the Fantasia “When I see you” and Jay-Z’s “Roc Boys” he is just gorrrrgeous!
In 2008, Larry Johnson was charged with assault for pushing a woman’s head at a nightclub on his third such charge since joining Kansas City in 2003. Johnson is scheduled to appear in court in December, and faces a maximum sentence of six months in jail and a $500 fine.
It was announced on October 16th that Johnson would be deactivated for the week 7 matchup against the Titans in response to violating an undisclosed team rule. Johnson has been charged with one count of non-aggravated assault for allegedly spitting a drink in a woman’s face at a Kansas City nightclub on October 10th. The team said his suspension for the October 19th game was unrelated to the newest criminal investigation.
3. Michael Vick – I know this probably comes as a surprise to a lot of you. But even before I was a cheerleader for the Atlanta Falcons I thought not only was he “the most electrifying player in football” but he could definitely quit the game and be a model full time.
Personally I wouldn’t mind doing a shoot with him any day! His amazing features include striking cheekbones, exotic eyes and a perfect smile! I know some don’t approve of some of the things he’s done, but he’s human and we all make mistakes, and who’s to say the people he’s serving time for didn’t take advantage of their financial situation?
He didn’t ask to be a role model, he just wants to play football, judge him on how many times he made you get out of your seat watching the bullet fly from his hand…not by some poor choices. Who wants to bet me right now he wont make a return?
In recent news, Vick plans to plead guilty to state dog fighting charges, a step that could allow him to qualify for an early release from federal prison and into a halfway house, court papers show. Vick’s attorneys filed a motion asked to have him enter his plea by video teleconference.
Under federal rules, Vick is ineligible to be released to a Residential Re-entry Center in the federal system until any pending charges against him are resolved. In a statement, Vick attorneys said their client “is committed to taking responsibility for his actions. He is hopeful that, through this motion, the trial court will allow him to finally resolve these matters and put the charges behind him so that he can begin to focus on his future and to prepare to be reunited with his family.”
The U.S. Bureau of Prisons lists Vick’s projected release date as July 20, 2009. Prison officials in Kansas have allowed the former Atlanta Falcons star to listen via telephone line to each of his several bankruptcy hearings in recent months.
4. LaDainian Tomlinson – We all have our types, and LT’s little boy face and smile that makes you melt is one of them.
Has anyone seen his new commercial for Nike Football with Troy Polamalu? Aside from the fact the way Nike ads always was captures the audiences emotions with their creative marketing, but this is ad is just one among of the running backs many endorsement deals.
The San Diego Chargers each had high expectations heading into this season, but both teams are playing sub-.500 football. They will face the Saints this week as they head into Wembley Stadium in London.
5. Tony Gonzalez – He is the exact reason I started watching football. I don’t have to talk about any of his features…they’re all perfect!
After the NFL’s trading deadline came and went and the future Hall Of Famer wasn’t moved, despite his trade request he remains a Chief. The pro-bowl tight end feels the team is rebuilding and it’s his time to move on…unfortunately it’s not his decision. Personally I could care less where he plays, as long as I can see him in those football pants I’m good to go!
A few others that I give an honorable mention to…
Ronde & Tiki Barber
And yes I didn’t include my all time favorite Clinton Portis.. He’s on a whole different list all together. Stay tuned…
