Eagles RB Westbrook’s Status Unknown After Suffering Fractured Ribs

It looks like it could be one of those types of seasons for Eagles RB Brian Westbrook, who now after just coming back from an ankle sprain now could miss more time with fractured ribs. The injury was disclosed by coach Andy Reid earlier today speaking at the teams Monday press conference following the Eagles second straight loss.

“We’ll see how things go here the next few days,” Reid said. “Right now he’s very sore.” Westbrook had an MRI Monday that showed the fratcured ribs. He suffered the injury on the first drive Sunday vs Washington, as he had a 9-yard scoring run, but came to the sideline pointing to his ribs.

The Eagles top back is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons, and has already has scored six touchdowns this year. He has rushed for 194 yards on 54 carries and has 14 receptions for 97 yards.
