Jamison Hensley of the Baltimore Sun is reporting that the Ravens running back’s eye is still swollen and has raised questions about his availability to Monday’s game.
“It still looks pretty bad to me,” coach John Harbaugh said of McGahee, who walked through the locker room wearing sunglasses. “As long as he can see, he’ll play. But if he can’t, he’s not going to be able to play. So, we’ll have to try to get that swelling down.”
In his first game since returning from a knee injury, McGahee was limited in the second half Sunday after suffering a laceration on his right eyelid. The cut drew blood, forcing him to the sideline a couple of times for treatment.
Believing McGahee was hurt intentionally by the Cleveland Browns, the Ravens have submitted the tape to the NFL for review. The league could levy fines if there is evidence that the Browns purposely hurt McGahee.
“We asked them for their opinion on what happened,” Harbaugh said. “We’re waiting to hear back on it.”
Personally I haven’t seen the tape since I had a ticket to the game. But, from what some people have said it looked pretty clear that their were some hands into the facemask. More on this as it develops.
