Jason Peters is no longer the last man standing outside of the NFL who is under contract. This is, of course, no surprise. Did anyone really expect Peters to sit out when the nearly $200,000 per week checks began? The Bills have a roster exemption and will use it for week one of the season. Peters is not entitled to his $200,000 weekly check as long as the Bills send a letter saying they will not be paying him. No word on whether that letter was sent. My sense is that with him reporting, the Bills will either pay him for the week or excuse the built-up fines from training camp. Peters has made his point; he missed the $1,000 per week training camp checks and showed up for the real money.
